Havre, May 4. (Special)--The twelfth annual meeting of the North Montana Stockmen's association will be held in Havre at the court room in the Hill county court house, May 7. Steve Holman, Wagner, is president of the association, and Arthur White, Hinsdale, secretary. The organization came into existence in 1926.
The business-session of the association will start at 10 a. m. At the afternoon session several speakers of importance will be heard. Dr. Peter Slagsvold, of the department of agricultural economics at Montana State college will talk on "Land Utilization and Problems Connected With It," discussing land use, taxation, delinquent taxes, etc. In his talk he will use much of the material gathered in economic studies of actual conditions in Montana.
Dr. W. E. Butler, secretary of the Montana Livestock Sanitary board, will speak on phases of his work. E. A. Phillips, secretary of the Montana Livestock commission, will be present and give reports on the work of that body. Howard Lewis, extension livestock specialist, is to discuss phases of feeding and marketing.
This annual meeting is held annually, meeting in succession at Havre, Malta, Chinook and Glasgow.
