C. B. Price has received information that Miss Vera Taryer, Butler College sophomore, has been awarded the Lela F. Price Award.
The award was presented at Honors' Day Program at Butler College, Tyler, Texas, at which time the principal speaker was Mrs. Autherine Lucy Foster, first Negro to attend the University of Alabama.
"The Lela F. Price Award-Founded 1953 by Dean C. E. Price (now NAACP Field Secretary) as a memorial to his Mother, to the student enrolled in Economics who writes the best term paper during the year in Economics."
