Full Text

At a meeting of the State Land Board June 10th the matter of the school land near City park in Denver was taken up for consideration. The state owns the land on which the Denver Athletic park and the Park Floral Company's green houses are located. The board is very anxious to plat this land into city lots, or make some other disposition of it that will be more satisfactory than the present plan of leasing it. Register Woodruff has prepared a circular letter addressed to the real estate men of Denver asking that they submit a plan for the disposal of the land. This letter was presented to the board and each member took a copy for further consideration. At the next meeting the matter will again be taken up, and it is hoped some definite arrangements will be made. In pursuance of its plan the board renewed the lease of the Park Floral Company for two years and eleven months. This will make all the leases expire at the same time and when the land is free the board unless some better proposition is submitted by the real estate men, will probably plat the ground and lease it for residence purposes.
