Loghaven Area Club Gets Busy
The Loghaven Drive Neighbors Club held its first meeting of the year at the home of Mrs. Lillie Wise last month.
The club was organized more than one year ago in the interest of getting persons living on Loghaven Dr. better acquainted, and making Loghaven Dr. more beautiful by keeping the home surroundings attractive and planting flowers.
The members, at the first meeting, enjoyed a delectable menu of sandwiches, cookies, coffee and other tidbits.
The club's second meeting was held at the home of Mr. and Mrs. A. D. Dockett, Jr. at 2684 Loghaven Dr., N. W. Mrs. Dockett hosted the ten members present.
Additional plans were made to get all residents of Loghaven Dr. together to let newcomers know the Neighbors Club has been established.
The last meeting was held March 13 at the home of Mrs. S. H. Archer, 2553 Loghaven Dr., N. W.
Officers of the club are as follows: Mrs. Gussie Fortson, president; Mrs. Essie Hines, vice-president; Mrs. Marguerite Dozier, secretary; Mrs. Virginia Leslie, treasurer; Mrs. Alma Williams, chaplain; Mrs. Lillie Wise and Mrs. Ruby Bagwell, chairman of sick committee; Mrs. Ruth Patterson chairman of public relations, and Mrs. Bertha Dockett, reporter.
