Public School.—We understand that the Public School, which commenced last Monday with Mr. Clark and Miss Batchelder as teachers is not filling up as rapidly as it ought. Mr. Brierly, one of the Board of Trustees informs us that it is the intention of the Board to exert itself to the utmost, to create, and sustain a healthy interest, in behalf of Common School Education. Already the School House has been thoroughly cleansed, and white-washed, blinds are being made, and, as soon as arrangements can be made, the entire school building will be repainted.

We call attention to the efforts of the Trustees and hope they will be fully sustained, both by parents and citizens.
