Lake George.

The thrilling incidents connected with the early history of this beautiful lake, are of a character to render it an object of interest, and if we add to this, the attractions of its bold and sublime scenery—its commodious and well furnished Hotel—its elegant Steam Boat, making its daily trips each way over its transparent waters, a distance of thirty-six miles in length—its proximity to many a hard fought battle-field, whose fortifications are yet visible;—together with the fact that these circumstances, in connexion with its surpassing loveliness, are daily drawing together people from different and remote parts of this, as well as of other countries,—we can hardly do the traveling public a greater favor than to call their attention to this delightful thoroughfare of our country.
