SHERIFF GETS A HURRIED CALL FROM FUGITIVES DRIVEN FROM BIG RANCH.
Darby, July 7.-(Special.)-Deputy Sheriff George Waldo got a hurry-up call last night to come to the Pines ranch, about a mile south of town. When he got there he found Hays Jenkins seemingly in possession of everything terrestial, if not celestial It seems he had for some reason objected to having any one on the "320-acre ranch' but himself, and being of a rather athletic build and apparently an expert at handling that miniature come-on called a Colts. he proceeded to put said objection into force. The deputy sheriff said he had made "a solitude and called it peace," when he got there: and it is not known whether he will be prosecuted for a breach of the peace, or for injuring men by causing them to run faster than nature intended. He was taken to Hamilton and will have his trial Saturday.
