BANKERS HAVE A KICK

APPEAR WITH GRIEVANCE BEFORE TAX COMMISSION.

A delegation of bankers of the state appeared yesterday before the tax revision commission to discuss the present method of taxation of banks. The delegation consisted of F. W. Anderson, of the St. Paul National bank; F. Prince, of the First National, Minneapolis, and Messrs. Wheeler, of Crookston, and Mitchell, of Winona.

The bankers did not object to the existing laws so much as the present system of administering the laws, which they argued results in higher proportional taxation of banks than any other class of taxpayers.

The state board of forestry will appear before the tax revision commission today to discuss the question of reservation of lands for forestry purposes which have been forfeited by reason of delinquent taxes and are not suitable for other purposes.
