One of the most successful operators of the Hot Springs district, Martin Danielson, was among the outgoing passengers on the steamer Northwestern which left Seward for Seattle last week. Mr. Danielson is on his way to his home at Berkeley, Cal., and according to his Seward friends, he stated his intention of remaining in the States hereafter and that the recent trip to the territory was his last.
His extensive holdings have been sold to the American Smelter company, it is stated. His partner of many years, Adolph Bock, is remaining on Sullivan creek placer tin ground. The recent shipment of tin which passed thru Seward billed to the States, was mined on this ground.
It is roughly estimated that the partners took out two or three millions in gold from their Hot Springs holdings.
