MODERN COTTAGE ON BEACH FOR MR. DUNN

One of the handsomest residences in Ventnor City will be built at Frankford avenue and the beach for William A. Dunn, the preliminary sketches, which have been completed by Architect Seward G. Dobbins, calling for a building of the Spanish type of architecture, the interior and exterior of which will be on the most magnificent scale. The working plans are now being rushed to completion by Mr. Dobbins and the actual building will be started within a short time. According to the sketches the villa will be of the Spanish type the exterior being of stucco on a metal lath foundation, with a tile roof. Built on a terrace the residence will have a 60-foot frontage on Frankford avenue and 40 feet on the beach, the lot being of sufficient size to allow of the terraced effect on all sides. The first floor will contain a large entrance hall, finished in marble, leading to a living room 18x32 feet from which will lead a stairway, wainscoted in mahogany. This floor will also contain dining room, serving room, pantry, kitchen, servants' hall and colonial den (with cathedral window in rear). There will be a porch with tile flooring around both on the Frankford avenue and beach fronts. On the second floor will be four large sleeping rooms each with private bath: two dressing rooms and a logia on the ocean side, while the third floor will have five bed rooms and bath. In the basement will be located the laundry and heating rooms, three servants' bedrooms, with bath and chauffeur's room.
