SEATTLE FIRM BIDS LOW ON BRIDGES, TURNAGAIN ROAD

Bids were opened this morning in the office of H. A. Stoddart, Division Engineer of the Public Roads Administration (a Public Works Agency) on the most important work remaining for completion of the Turnagain Arm road.

For construction of five bridges, J. J. Bradraun, Seattle, submitted the low combination bid of $489,738.00.

Recommendation will be made to Washington headquarters that Bradraun be awarded the contract.

Other bids were from Max J. Kuney Company, Spokane, for $581,855, and Morrison-Knudsen, Seattle, $688,265.70. The Kuney firm has the grading contract in the same section.
