Friday last between 11 and 12 o'Clock A. M. a melancholy Accident happened to Mrs. Elizabeth Stiver in the North Suburbs of this Town. It seems she had been out into the town and returned home about 11 o'Clock. when she locked herself into the House, as is said was her Custom, and went to making a Fire, when, by whatever means is unknown, it is supposed some of her Clothes took fire, which burnt her in the Face, Breast and Legs. &c. to such a Degree that when her husband came home at 12 o'Clock, from the Navy Yard, where he is employed as a Watchman, he being obliged, after knocking at the Door several Times and no one opening it, he burst it open, and found her expired on the Floor.
