Resuscitation.—Mr. Charles Cullan, of Loudoun county, Virginia, was not long since struck by lightning, while sitting in his house, and prostrated to all human appearance, in death. When in this condition several neighbors came to witness the lamentable scene. Cold water was thrown profusely on the body, and in the course of twenty minutes he began to exhibit signs of returning animation. The patient finally recovered, but stated that his sensations and pain experienced during the moments of revivification were terrible, and beyond the power of language to describe.
