Full Text

Mr. Buchanan in his recent letter to the Democracy, assumed the Cassandra tone. Mr. Cass, in his epistle, adopts the confident style of Hope. He tells his brethren that the "decree has gone forth that the next administration of the General Government must be in the hands of the Democratic party." From what quarter the DECREE, spoken of, has gone forth, we are not told. Mr. Cass, like the other great men of the present day, has a "destiny" to fulfill, and we presume, finds his name in the "decree."— "Nous verrons."
