March 10. At the ensuing Assizes for the County of Kent, two Trials are expected to come on, for killing a Dog and a Cat, the Case being thus; a Gentleman near Maidstone, being a hunting, one of his Dogs run after a Farmer's Cat and kill'd her; the Farmer valuing his Cat, came out and shot the Gentleman's Dog dead; upon which the Gentleman brought his Action against the Farmer for killing his Dog; the Farmer applying to his Attorney, was advised to bring his Action for killing the Cat. The People are mighty desirous of knowing the Event of this (Dog and Cat) Action.
