HOW HE GOT EVEN.

Those who were present at the state republican convention and witnessed the manner in which the Cass county delegation dropped R. N. Stevens into the soup knew that the Ransom county orator would "get even" at the first opportunity. That opportunity was offered yesterday when the Fargo agricultural college bill came up for consideration and he took advantage of it. He was the leading champion of the bill on the floor and squared accounts with the Cass county politicians by dumping as fine a scuttle of red hot coals on their heads as ever glistened in politics.
