Full Text
We hope the meeting of the citizens of Richmond in the Capitol, at four o'clock this evening, will be numerously attended; and that such a spirit will be exerted as is worthy of the character of Americans, and suitable to the occasion which calls it forth. The wrongs of Great Britain towards this country have now attained their ne plus ultra; beyond which the smallest toleration would be despicable cowardice. We trust the inhabitants of this city will not always be hindmost in the career of patriotism; but will, on this occasion, manifest true republican principles, and ardent zeal for the good of their country, guided by sound judgment, and adorned by the great abilities, for which many of them are so conspicuous.
