DEAN LOCK WOOD ANNOUNCES
Dean A. C. Lockwood, director of the University of Arizona summer school, wishes to make it clear to all Bisbee residents that the Friday evening programs in the high school auditorium, and Monday assemblies of the school in the high school assembly room, from 1 to 1:30 o'clock, are open to all who desire to attend.
The Friday evening programs for the remainder of the term follow:
July 1—Play readings, under the direction of Miss Grace Parsons, by the Civic Players of the Warren District.
June 8—Lecture by Prof. E. K. Riesen.
July 15—Lecture by Prof. Ira D. Payne.
Dean Lockwood will relate an incident of travel at the Monday afternoon assembly on July 11, and on
July 18. Prof. Daniel Jantzen, of Phoenix, will speak on a topic of general interest.
Residents here are invited also to attend the regular afternoon and evening classes, at their own pleasure.
Many of these classes are of general interest to the casual visitor interested in education, sociology, English literature and other subjects. The schedule of classes follows, meetings being held on each day of the week, except Saturdays and Sundays, at the hours indicated:
Education—Public education in the United States, 2:30 to 4:00.
Education: Educational physiology, by Professor Riesen, 5:00 to 6:00.
Rural school practice, by Professor Payne, 1:00 to 2:30.
Educational Measurements, by Professor Payne, 4:00 to 5:00.
Education, practice teaching, time to be arranged.
English literature, Shakespeare, by Dean Lockwood, 4:00 to 5:00.
Mathematics, college algebra, by Professor Cruse, 2:30 to 4:00.
Mathematics, plane trigonometry, by Professor Cruse, 4:00 to 5:00.
Social science, introduction to economics, by Professor Howard, 5:00 to 6:30.
Social science, sociology, by Professor Howard, 1:00 to 2:30.
Spanish, first semester college Spanish, by Miss French, 1:00 to 2:30.
Spanish, second semester college Spanish, by Miss French, 2:30 to 4:00.
Spanish, third semester college Spanish, by Miss French, 5:00 to 6:30.
