Stilwell Back from Washington Strategy Conference
CHUNGKING, China, June 15. - Lieut. Gen. Joseph Stilwell, just back from Allied strategy conferences in Washington, said "I feel we have a hell of a hard job ahead" in crushing Japan, but declared the United Nations are thoroughly determined to do the job as soon as possible.
During the Washington confabs, Stilwell said, "China was thoroughly considered and her needs gone into."
He said the constant interchange of information between the Allied leaders in China and the men in charge of the Southwest Pacific theater on the common task of defeating Japan was discussed.
