At a recent election of officers in Richard's Light Infantry of Gardiner, the following was the result: N. W. Niles, 1st Lieutenant; A. J. Small, 2nd Lieutenant. Thursday night the officers-elect gave the company a fine oyster supper in the dining rooms of the Evans House. About 40 were present, including the former captains of the company, J. W. Berry, C. M. Drake and G. W. Cross. It was an enjoyable occasion, and the boys seem to heartily appreciate the generosity of the new officers. The company is in excellent condition and Capt. Holmes, the present commander, may well feel proud of his company.
