JUDGE INSISTS THAT CONTEST OF BALLOTS START IMMEDIATELY

Order, Reversing Previous Decision, Will Force Campbell Into Court Contest May Start Monday.

PHOENIX, Dec. 9.-Completely reversing his opinion handed down in the recent contest following the primary election, between Gandy and Lymon, candidates for county attorney of Maricopa county, Judge Sanford this afternoon denied the motion of Tom Campbell's attorney to strike out the petition for an order of inspection of state ballots and to require a more definite statement of the miscount. He then overruled the demurrer of Campbell's attorney.

This ruling forces Campbell into court immediately.

Judge Sanford appointed Thomas Nealon, a local Democrat lawyer, his inspector. The Republican inspector is unnamed.

The court intimated that all state ballots are to be brought here immediately, as he expected to start Monday morning.

This undoubtedly will cause confusion as contests already have been started in at least three counties.
