CHARLESTON, (S. C.) June 3.

Yesterday arrived the ship Derheldt, Capt. Rever, in 50 days from Brest.

He reports that there had sailed from that port, 17 ships of the line—that on the 12th April, 11 others sailed, and that there were still in that harbor, seventeen sail of the line, and twenty two frigates, ready to put to sea:——

Captain Rever further reports, that a few days before he sailed, the French Privateers had sent into Brest, twenty five prizes, English and Dutch, on board of which, there were 1700 sailors, who had been sent to prison.
