Girl Scout Troops 6 and 7 of Kodiak, had a tea last Saturday from 2 to 6 in honor of their mothers. The Scout leader Mrs. Storms and her assistant Mrs. Fread supervised the tea and the mothers were treated to homemade cookies which the Girl Scouts made themselves. After the tea the mothers were entertained by the Scouts in a skit and the singing of Girl Scout songs.
Mrs. Sharp, Mrs. Orville Nye and Mrs. Connor also assisted in the operation of Troops 6 and 7.
A third Girl Scout is being formed here in the city with Mrs. Jones acting as leader and Mrs. Land the assistant. The new Troop is having a tea for their mothers today in the cafeteria room at the new school building. Refreshments will be served, consisting of homemade cookies made by the Scouts.
