FROM MARTINICO.
Mr. Perkins, mate of a vessel belonging to this town, who arrived yesterday from Martinico, via Salem, informs, That he left that island the 20th March, at which time no fleet had arrived from France, and that he heard nothing on the subject until he arrived in the United States :--That the British troops were still investing Fort Bourbon, but that it was not expected they would be able to carry it ; and that the British forces were very sickly. Thus unfortunately evaporates in fumo the intelligence in the papers of Thursday.
