Vanderbilts Ready
To Air Differences
In Divorce Court

RENO, Nev., Aug. 1 (AP)—Cornelius Vanderbilt, Jr., and his wife, the former Mary Davidson Weir of Chicago, whose separation last June caused a sensation, are ready to face each other in divorce court, possibly Monday.

It was reliably learned today that after much bickering they had arrived at an agreement on alimony payments, and that it awaits only approval of Mrs. Vanderbilt's father.

If this is received today or tomorrow, they will have their case heard by Judge Benjamin F. Curler Monday, probably behind closed doors.

Otherwise they may have to wait another week.

William Woodburn, attorney for Mrs. Vanderbilt, indicated today that an agreement also had been reached whereby the decree will go to his client on her cross complaint alleging cruelty.

The Vanderbilts separated June 15 after an affair Vanderbilt asserted his wife had had with Peter Arno, caricaturist. He filed suit for divorce four days later charging cruelty.

Mrs. Vanderbilt filed her cross-complaint June 23.
