COLLINS NEWS
Rev. and Mrs. T. K. McLaurin celebrated their 41st wedding anniversary, Sunday, February 19, in the home of their son and daughter-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Jessie McLaurin.
Mrs. Elmer T. Draughns presented the gifts to the couple.
The Friendship Sunday School will sponsor a program the third Sunday night in March. Everyone is cordially invited.
Mr. W. E. Magee, superintendent; Mr. L. C. Pickens, pastor; Mrs. Naomi Gamble, reporter.
B. T. U. meeting was held Sunday evening at 5 o'clock at Friendship Church in Collins, Miss. The lesson was enjoyed by all. Everyone is cordially invited to come and worship with the members every Sunday evening at 5 o'clock. Mrs. Leona McLaurin, director.
The Home Mission Band met Friday at 2 o'clock. The lesson and business discussion was enjoyed. All ladies in the community are asked to be present Saturday, March 24, 1956. Mrs. Gertrude McNair, president.
Mrs. Allie Mae Brenton is visiting in St. Louis, Mo. We hope that she enjoys her visit.
The Golden Echoes of Gulfport, Miss., is sponsoring a program Sunday night, March 4, 1956. Everyone is asked to be present.
Delegates that were sent to the Jefferson Davis Joining Country Institute are: Mrs. Minnie Gamble, Mrs. Rosie Lee Magee, Mrs. Celestra McLaurin and Mrs. Ethel Mae Magee.
There will be an Age Rally program at the Friendship Church, Sunday night at 7 o'clock. Everyone is invited to come and worship with us.
Each member is requested to bring one cent to tell how old he is.

Mrs. Maxine Magee is on the sick list this week. We wish her a speedy recovery.
Rev. L. C. Pickens, pastor of Friendship Church will be the dinner guest in the home of Mrs. Zula Gamble, Sunday, March 11, 1956.
We are very proud that we have some beloved mothers in our Community who was with us when the Friendship Church open.
They are: Mrs. Lucy Draghn, Mrs. Fannie Wilson, Mrs. Judy Land Flowers, Mrs. Rodie Davis.
