Front Street Undergoes Transformation

Front street has undergone transformation since last Saturday night.

Early Sunday morning, following the placing of eight culverts in position at necessary spots between the Larson House and the Lowrie machine shop, the work of corduroying that stretch was commenced, finished early Monday, and then given a liberal covering of gravel.

Eight new culverts were also placed in the upper end of the street, from the N. C. Co. down to the Larson front. This stretch has also been given a liberal treatment of gravel, all of which has greatly improved and added fine appearance to the entire thoroughfare.

John A. Baker gave personal supervision to this work, for which he is receiving the praise and thanks of citizens generally.
