STANLEY MORGAN IS NOW CAPTAIN
NOME, Alaska, May 18.-(AP)-
Stanley Morgan, who flashed news of the Will Rogers-Wiley Post airplane crash to the world, has been promoted to the rank of captain.
A veteran of 28 years with the Alaska Communications System, he has been in charge of the Nome station since 1943. He retired two years ago, but was called back to duty, with the rank of lieutenant.
His previous stations were at Point Barrow, near where Rogers and Post were killed in August, 1935, Fort Gibbons, Fairbanks, Holy Cross and Ruby.
