Easter Sunday April 21st, 1957 at 9:15 P.M. St. Thomas' modern Sport and Recreation Hall will be opened with a presentation of Inter-Island Boxing.
The former Recreation Hall has been thoroughly and extensively renovated and modernized, made sound proof and thus our island has now a new Sport and Entertainment Center of up to date standards for sport events. New sound equipment has been installed, a boxing ring 20'x 20' and a dance floor. The stage of the Arena has a new lighting up system and curtains and all kind of stage and variety shows can be staged. Seating capacity for 1,100 persons is available, and can be increased if necessary.
