Sunday July 18 there were 33 members of the West Jefferson High School Band who left for Band Camp at Hocking Valley near Logan.
Those enjoying the week's activities were: Dean Gibboney, Sidney Merrick, Mickey Rennick, Jim Rings, Virginia Kaho, Donald Sindledecker, Sharon Shepherd, Denny Horton, Larry Brenstuhl, Beth Self, Marilyn Rice, Donna Rea, Richard Elliott, Ilo Sue Blauser, Kay Howard, John Guy, Carolyn Elliott, Joan Block, Lee Stratton, Larry O'Harra, Brenda Rings, Richard Ellinger, John Lawless, Cheryl Baker, John Clark, Jeff Richeson, Janet Hockenbery, Susie Kessler, Nancy Lewis, Ronald Snyder, Nana Young, Sharon Halley and Ronald Shelton.
Supervisor for the young ladies was Mrs. Russell Stratton and for the boys was Mr. Santee, who is also manager of the group.
Miss Carol Helm, the new music teacher for West Jefferson, joined Mr. Santee the latter part of the week.
A later report will be made on their complete trip as a program was scheduled for the entire week.
