Full Text

Extract of a Letter from Vienna, Jan. 20.

We have authentic accounts here, that upwards of 6000 of the Seraskiers of Silistra's army have passed over the Danube, from Bulgaria into Moldavia, and are encamped within a few leagues of Marshal Romanzow's head quarters, which are near Jassy, with an intent to harass the Russians, and prevent their receiving any supplies of provisions; they have already succeeded in cutting off two considerable convoys, and will prove very distressing to the Russian army, if not removed. Marshal Romanzow has taken measures, and made dispositions for disposing them, which it is imagined he will effect.
