Full Text
County Commissioners, at a meeting last night, granted a request made by Tax Collector Howard E. Wilson that he be permitted to rent an Addressograph to make metal plates until the machine of that type, which the county has bought, is delivered.
Wilson explained that it will require four or five months to make plates for the tax list, as between 40 and 45 thousand are required.
"The only way," he concluded "we can use our Addressograph for the tax books next year is to begin now to make the plates."
The company has stated that an Addressograph can be leased and sent here from Miami, probably from the office of Tax Assessor Newton Lummus.
The Addressograph the county purchased will be delivered in four months.
