Full Text
The Sheriff of Eureka got word Sunday evening that a man known as "Texas" was approaching town with 15 head of stolen cattle. "Texas" evidently became suspicious that he had been discovered, and, abandoning the stock, left for parts unknown. The Sheriff went out and recovered the herd, and now has them in his possession. The cattle do not belong to any known brand in this immediate section. It is presumed that they were driven from the neighborhood of Belmont. Cattle men over that way would do well to investigate the matter.—Sentinel.
