Mr. THOMAS,

BY giving the following bard a place in your next, you will oblige your humble servant,

The TRIFLER.

A CARD.

To PHILANTHROP.

The Trifler presents his compliments to Philanthrop, and advises him to rest satisfied with his 60ol. sterling per annum, and no longer prostitute his pen to—

"Earn dirty bread by washing. Aethiop's fair,
Removing filth, or inking it from sight,
(Or be) a scavenger in scenes, where vacant pots,
Like gibbets yet untenanted, expect
Their future ornaments ;—

As all the lucrative PLACES in the New plan of American Government, are disposed of, and he can lay no claim to those of Honour.
