Wearing The Champion Horns.-Last evening Crescent Fire Company No. 24, visited Stonewall Hall to receive the pair of horns earned at the Excelsior Brass Band festival on the nineteenth instant. The horns were presented by Mr. E. S. Levy and received by Mr. E. Garvey, with all the requisite ceremony. To commemorate the event the company, with many guests, paraded several of our principal streets, making a fine display with their fireworks and torches. After serenading the newspaper offices the company called on Mrs. Otero, Mr. M. E. Garvey and Mr. Ed. Sweeney. At the hall the band also presented the Excelsior Base Ball Club with a fine silver medal, delivered by Mr. E. S. Levy and received by Captain E. J. Andry. The Third District brass band made music for the boys during the procession.
