The Dalles, Ore., Jan. 21.--Tons upon tons of ice are crashing down upon the government works at Celilo. The ice is piled against the outside wall of the canal on a level with the top on the Oregon side. The whole of the government works is not only jeopardized, but every building as well is in danger of being swept away.
