Full Text

KINGSTOWN, (Jamaica) June 4.

We learn that several British vessels from the coast of Africa have lately called at the Spanish island of Trinidad, where they were permitted to dispose of their cargoes, and which they did to considerable advantage, receiving specie in payment, from whence they proceeded to Barbadoes, to purchase loading for their vessels: should this trade continue to be permitted for a length of time, it must necessarily prove highly beneficial to the owners, and many vessels will in consequence be diverted into this channel, that were intended for the British islands or America.
