May 25. They write from Petersburg of the 14th. that the Court had just received Advice that the Prince of Brunswick Wolfenbuttel, with 50,000 Men, and all their Artillery and Baggage had pass'd the Borysthenes upon the Bridges near Perewoloczna; that Major General Keyserling had been detached with 5000 Men to post himself under the Cannon of Oczakow, and that 600 Cossacks which were sent to reconnoitre the Dispositions of the Turks about Bender, were returned with four Prisoners by whose report it appears, that there were very few Turkish Troops yet arrived near that Place. Count Munich writes, that having discover'd several Turkish Spies in his Army, he had not hang'd them, as is most commonly the Fate of those Wretches; but on the contrary, he had order'd them to be led thro' all the Quarters of the Army, shew'd them the Artillery and Number of his Troops, and then dismiss'd them, bidding them give their Masters a faithful Account of what they had seen.
