Aycock Girls Have Organized A Team

Aycock high school girls have organized a basketball team and are now ready to play any school within a 25-mile radius, it was said today by their manager, Miss Marjorie Huff.

At a meeting of the girls last Monday, Miss Ethel Peoples was chosen captain for the coming season with Miss Mary Whisonant sponsor, and Prof. W. D. Poe, coach. Transportation committee was named as Misses Madge Grissom, Katherine Macon, Alyce Huff; cheer-leaders, Misses Ruby Faulkner Paulien Hoyle, Marie Puckett.

The team is expected to be a strong one and a county championship contender, it was said.
