Distinguished Arrival.

Major Joe Bossert, of the firm of Bossert & Co. of Fort Smith, arrived, this morning, on the high-headed steamer Fort Smith from Little Rock and an extended business tour to the East. He says that Baltimore, Louisville and the lesser cities, are undoubtedly declining in the growing prosperity of Van Buren; and that he was glad to leave the village of Philadelphia, for the wide-awake, rattling metropolitan city of the Frontier, Ft. Smith, --of which Joe is one of the live specimens.
