Texas Air Group Holds
Big Lead in Rocketry
Meet After Three Days

YUMA, Ariz., (AP)—The Air Training Command from Perrin Air Force Base, Texas, held a substantial lead in the worldwide Air Force Rocketry Meet here Wednesday after the third day of firing.

With 16 of 24 sorties completed, Air Training Command had 9,800 points, 2,200 more than second-place Eastern Air Defense Force.

The Far East Air Forces were third with 5,400 points, and Central Air Defense Force from Missouri was fourth with 4,800.

Alaskan Air Command was in eighth place with 3,400 points.

First Lt. Arthur Dennis Jr. of Livonia, Mich., a member of the Air Training Command team, had the individual scoring lead with 3,800 points of a possible 4,000.

The flyers are firing from jets at targets towed by bombers.
