We take great pleasure in laying before our readers this week a communication from the gifted and accomplished pen of John Ross Dix. His achievements in the literary world in connection with the leading periodicals and journals of England and this country, render any comments of ours superfluous. We congratulate our readers and ourselves, in view of the aid which the writer has so generously proffered to the Journal, and trust that he will not long delay his promised visit, when we shall be afforded the opportunity of tendering our acknowledgements in person.
