Knoxville, Nov. 15
The official account of general Coffee's victory over the Creek Indians, reached this on Friday last. The citizens of the town exhibited their usual degree of patriotic feeling.
Pursuant to previous arrangements the citizens of the town and its vicinity assembled in the Church at 6 o'clock P. M. which was brilliantly illuminated. The patriotic Parson Nelson, read from the Pulpit the official report of general Coffee, & then delivered an expressive, eloquent, and patriotic sermon suitable to the occasion.
