A Geographical description of the World.

EUROPE contains in it these Countries, Germany,
Swedeland, Denmark, Netherland,
Italy, Muscovy, Hungary, France, Spain, Por-
tugal, Poland, Norway, and Greece. The most
eminent islands are these: Great-Britain, Ireland,
Sicily, Sardinia, Candia, Negropon, and Corsica.
The greatest length of this part of the world is
3000 miles, the breadth 900.
ASIA, the first known part of the world, con-
tains these principal regions and islands, viz. A-
merica, Anatolia, Persia, Assyria, Chinia, Syria,
Arabia, Mesopotamia, India, Japan, Parthia,
Media, Palestine, Chaldea, Tartary.
In AFRICA, are these Provinces, viz. Egypt
Barbary, Biledulgerid, Ethiopia, Nubia, Congo,
Abyssinia, Monomotopa, Guinea, &c. The Is-
lands. Madagascar, St. Thomas, Islands of Cape
Verde, Canary Islands, Madeira.
AMERICA, the south part of the world, and
of the latest discovery, consisteth of these two
parts, Mexico or North-America, and Peru, or
South-America. The Provinces of Mexico are
New-Spain, Florida, New-York, New-England,
Canada. The Provinces of Peru are, Brasil,
Peru, Chili, Terra firma, Paraguay Amazonia.
The chief Islands of America are, Hispaniola,
Cuba, Jamaica, Newfoundland, and Porto-Rico.
