The thirteen-year-old daughter of Nelson Booth, at Belington, Barbour county, near Grafton, W. Va., was shot in the ankle a few days ago by a bullet intended for a Yankee soldier thirty-six years ago. An old Confederate revolver, which no one ever thought was loaded, was placed in a fire grate as a summer ornament. Scraps of paper in some manner became ignited and the weapon exploded. Oma Booth's ankle was shattered. Mrs. Booth threw the revolver out of the window, where a second charge exploded, the bullet passing through the door. The incident has caused an overhauling of all the old army weapons in the vicinity.
