Full Text

New Comforts for Travelers—The Pullman car company are putting into use a new style of sleeping or rather reclining cars. A row of easy chairs runs each side of the car, with a passage-way in the middle; chairs having high backs, with pillows and places for the feet, machinery by which they can be thrown back to an angle of forty-five degrees, and also a swivel by which they can be turned around, altogether making a very comfortable qualified bed. The advantages are that such cars are lighter and will hold more passengers, and their accommodations can be furnished cheaper than the others, whose places they are likely to take in considerable part.
