On Wednesday and Thursday the annual encampment of the West Virginia Department Grand Army of the Republic, Sons of Veterans, Woman's Relief Corps and the Ladies of the G. A. R. took place in Wheeling. They were called separately, but were held in conjunction, the sessions being at the same place, the I. O. O. F. hall, corner of Chapline and Twelfth streets. The Memorial sermon was preached by Dept. Chaplain Rev. Taylor Richmond, of Mt. Clare, Harrison county. Judge Romeo H. Freer the Dept. Commander presided.
