At the hearing of the receivership matter of the State Bank and Trust Company in Carson last week Attorney Horatio Alling, who represents certain depositors of the defunct banking company, asked Receiver Wildes if he had been paying the papers of Carson to print only one side of the case and cover up certain facts. This Receiver Wildes denied. This question by Attorney Alling brought forth a storm of protest from the attorneys representing Wildes, coming as it did, on top of other insinuating questions, and caused quite a sensation in Carson. Both the Carson papers deny the charge and are quite angry over the question. The attorneys for Wildes state that there will be some sensational evidence concerning the bank affair when the case is re-opened.
