Extract of a Letter from Gibraltar, April 25.

"Orders have just arrived here, over Land from London, for building some additional Forts, Outworks, &c. especially towards the Side of Old Spain, and to repair and strengthen all the Fortifications in general; likewise to pay the utmost Regard and Attention to the Discipline of the Soldiers, &c. in Garrison. The Preparations now making at Sea by the Moors, Algerines, and the other States of Barbary, are prosecuted with the utmost Assiduity, and in a short Time the whole Squadrons will be fit for Service. Two Shocks of an Earthquake were felt here a few Days ago."
