He Is Constantly Assailed by Spirits
Juan Villa, a Mexican from Gleeson,
was ordered committed to the
Insane asylum at Phoenix this afternoon
by the lunacy commission. He
is laboring under the hallucination
that spirits are after him and that
after he has been examined by
the doctors he will be killed.
He writes to his friends to send his
mail in care of St. Peter; he tries to
get hold of a six shooter to protect
himself from these spirits and
imagines that every one who comes
near him is trying to stick daggers in
his back, as well as trying to poison
him by dropping morphine into his
food and on top of his head he will
be taken to Phoenix in the morning.
Villa makes the ninth patient that
has been taken to the asylum within
the past three months from Cochise
county, there having been three during
the past week.
